I was adopted out of the New York Foster Care System into a white family and raised with two non-adopted siblings. I am an Author and International speaker on Transracial Adoption. I have coauthored (with Rita Simon) the landmark trilogy of books on transracial adoption (In Their Own Voices, In Their Parents' Voices, and In Their Siblings' Voices). My latest book In Their Voices: Black Americans on Transracial Adoption won the 2016 Choice Outstanding Academic Title Award.
